Your comments can be as simple as a statement or two.
This redistricting effort is not about fair representation; if it were, we would have been able to study maps far ahead of time and heard all about the methods used to draw them. Instead this effort is all about cowering behind Donald Trump and clinging to power. Trump has openly admitted that he is using Texas to gain 5 Congressional seats in 2026. How can we voters trust you and this process? This mid-census redistricting is solely to disenfranchise voters and silence the voices of citizens for Donald Trump to continue his assault on working-class Texans. Voters want clear compact districts that keep our smaller counties intact within one district, group communities of interest together, and are competitive between parties so that voters feel they are able to choose their representative instead of the other way around.
